14-day Quarantine is Mandatory, New Guidelines for International Travellers

The Health Ministry issue new guidelines for International arrivals, saying that before boarding, all travellers will provide an undertaking that they’d undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 days.

While national flights will resume from Monday, international flights remain suspended.

Prior to boarding, all travelers shall give a job which they would undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 times — 7 days paid institutional quarantine in their price, followed by seven days in the home with self-monitoring of health, the guidelines said.

Just for unique and compelling reasons such as cases of Human distress, pregnancy, death in family, severe illness and parent(s) followed by children below ten years, as evaluated by the receiving states, home quarantine might be allowed for 14 days, and also use of Aarogya Setu application shall be compulsory in these instances, based on guidelines.

At the right time of traveling the flight or boat, just asymptomatic travellers will be permitted to board after thermal screening, the health ministry said. Passengers coming through the land borders will also need to undergo the exact same protocol as previously, and just people that are asymptomatic will likely be enabled to cross the border into India.

Self-declaration form in copy shall be filled with the Person at the airport or boat along with a copy of the exact same will be awarded to immigration and health officials present in the airport, seaport or landport, the recommendations said. The shape may also be made available on Aarogya Setu application.

Proper precautionary measures such as environmental sanitation and disinfection shall be guaranteed in the airports in addition to within flights, the health ministry said. During boarding and in the airports, all probable measures to ensure social distancing ought to be guaranteed.

Suitable announcement about COVID-19 including Precautionary measures to be followed will be drawn up in airports/port and at flights/ships and through transit, the instructions stated. While on board the flight or boat, required precautions such as wearing of masks, environmental hygiene, respiratory hygiene, hand hygiene etc., should be observed by airline or ship staff, crew and all passengers.

On arrival, thermal screening could be carried out in Respect of all passengers by health officials present in the airport/ seaport/landport, the instructions stated. Passengers found to be more symptomatic during screening shall be immediately dispersed and accepted to a medical centre as per health protocol, they stated. The rest of the passengers shall be taken to appropriate institutional quarantine centers, to be organized by respective State/UT governments, the guidelines said. These passengers will probably be kept under minimal quarantine for a minimum interval of seven days, they all said.

They will be tested as per ICMR protocol accessible, the Guidelines said, adding that should they test positive, they will be evaluated clinically. If they are assessed as moderate cases, they will be permitted home isolation or isolated from the COVID Care Centre (both private & public facilities) as appropriate, the guidelines said. Those having moderate or severe symptoms will probably be admitted to dedicated COVID health centers and managed accordingly, the health ministry said.

If found adverse, they will be advised to further isolate Themselves at home and self-monitor their health for 7 days, ” it said. In the Event, Any symptoms develop that they will notify the district surveillance officer or even the States can also develop Their own protocol with respect to quarantine and isolation as per their Evaluation, they stated.
