Dim Sums Recipe
Dim sum is a little Chinese meal served with tea. It would be right to state dumplings are merely a type of dim sum. But dim amount itself refers to a style of Chinese cuisine, served in little bite-sized portions, including but not limited to dumplings.
A conventional dim sum full of barbecue pork, rice or wheat dumplings, and rice noodle rolls that have a selection of ingredients, including chicken, pork, prawns, and vegetarian options.

Ingredients for Dim Sum
- 1 Cup Cabbage finely chopped
- 2 Big Spring onions finely chopped
- 1 Cup Broccoli finely chopped
- 1 Cup Carrot finely chopped
- Half Cup French beans chopped
- Refined flour (maida) 1 cup + 4 tablespoons + for dusting
- Salt to taste
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- 2 inch Ginger cut into thin strips
- 2 tsp Soy sauce
- Sesame seeds or vegetable oil toasted 1 teaspoon
- For non-veg Dim Sum replace vegetables with chicken, pork, or prawn.
Steps for Dim Sum Preparing
Line a bamboo steamer with some lettuce leaves.
Take 1 cup flour in a bowl.
Add 2/3 cup of warm water and salt And blend well.
To prepare vegetable mix, place cabbage, spring onions, Broccoli, broccoli, French beans, salt and crushed peppercorns in a bowl and mix well.
Take remaining flour in a different bowl. Add salt and two Tablespoons water and blend well. Add to ready bread and knead well. Transfer into a bowl, then cover with damp muslin cloth and set aside for 30 minutes.
Split the dough into little equal parts.
To prepare dim sums, have a dough part, dust with Flour and roll from the borders to produce a thin disk. Put into a vegetable mix, fold twists the edges to seal and fold the ends.
To prepare mouse dim sums, Have a dough portion, roll out to Create a thin disk, fill some vegetable mix, pinch one end, press it in and repeat until end.
Heat some water in a non-stick pan and bring water to boil. Place prepared dim sums in lined bamboo steamer, place the steamer in hot water and water on high heat for 8-10 minutes.
To prepare ginger soy dip, warm soy sauce in a non-stick pan. Add some ginger and water mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add sesame seeds and jojoba oil, swirl and cook two minutes.
Serve the dim sums hot with ginger carrot dip.
