India tour of Australia 2020-21 Confirmed: Schedule, Venues & Dates

Cricket Australia announced the fittings after saying it’s confident of hosting a secure and productive summer which claims to thrill cricket lovers across the world that are starved of live activity on account of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The anticipated advent of superpower India to play with the Australian men’s teams across all formats, as well as the recurrence of Australia’s all-conquering women’s group, are one of the highlights scheduled for the summer,” that the Cricket Australia said.

3 ODIs, 4 3 and Tests T20Is

India will begin their tour of Australia in October since they are scheduled to perform with a 3-match T20I, between October 11 and 17.

The much-anticipated 4-Test string will kickstart from December 3. Brisbane will host the show opener while Adelaide will sponsor the 2nd Test, which will be a day-night affair with all the pink balll.

India will subsequently play with a 3-match ODI show from January 12 to 17.

It remains to be seen when India will remain in Australia following the T20, given there is doubt surrounding the T20 World Cup which is scheduled from October 18 to November 15.

Cricket Australia CEO Kevin Roberts said there may be changes in the schedule declared on Thursday, considering the Covid-19 pandemic.

  • Australia v India at the Gabba, Brisbane (October 11)
  • Australia v India at Manuka Oval, Canberra (October 14)
  • Australia v India at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide (October 17)

  • Pink Test, Australia v India at the SCG, Sydney (January 3 – 7)

Men’s ODI Series against India

  • Australia v India at Perth Stadium, Perth (January 12)
  • Australia v India at the MCG, Melbourne (January 15)
  • Australia v India at the SCG, Sydney (January 17),
