Microsoft acquires data modeling firm ADRM Software.

Microsoft has acquired North Carolina-based ADRM Software, a leading supplier of large scale industry data units, which can be used by large companies globally as information blueprints, for an undisclosed sum. ADRM”s Software data units have been built and refined over time to get business-critical analytics.

“An industry data model allows organizations to more holistically catch and establish business theories, refine and integrate processes, and build interoperability within their ecosystem,” Microsoft said in an announcement on Thursday.

“Data and AI would be the foundation of modern technological innovation, yet companies now struggle to uncover the complete value data must provide as fragmented data estates hinder digital transformation,” said Krishnaswamy.

Based on Ravi Krishnaswamy, CVP, Azure Global Industry, Microsoft has been investing in the ability of information and artificial intelligence (AI) to innovate, influence and enhance customer experience and associate growth.

Combining comprehensive business models from ADRM with limitless storage and compute from Azure permits for the invention of the intelligent data lake where data from multiple lines of business may be invisibly together more rapidly.

“With Microsoft Azure, those capabilities will be delivered at scale, enabling our customers to accelerate electronic progress, and decrease risk in many different major initiatives,” stated the provider.
