Rajasthan Allows Taxis & Auto Rickshaws in Red Zones

The Rajasthan government On Monday chose to allow taxis and auto-rickshaws to function in the red zones of the state. The state government has also lifted the ban on the sale of paan, gutkha and tobacco goods while making it very clear that spitting in people is still a punishable offence.

Amending the lockdown 4.0 guidelines, the authorities allowed the Use of taxis, such as Ola and Uber, and auto-rickshaws inside the red zones on a condition that social distancing and sanitisation will be guaranteed. These activities are already allowed in green and orange zones of the state.

Meanwhile, four people reacted to COVID-19 in Rajasthan On Monday, taking the death toll on 167 as 272 new coronavirus instances were reported in the state. With these fresh cases, the number of COVID-19 infections from the State has gone up to 7,300. As many as 272 new cases were reported in the state on monday,


Additional, there are 3,077 active instances from the Rajasthan, a total of 3,559 people are discharged from hospitals after healing, they said.

According to state government information, Jaipur has listed a Maximum of 79 deaths and 1,828 positive instances followed by Jodhpur which has filed 17 deaths and 1,271 instances. One of the total positive cases in the state is 1,844 migrants who have recently returned to Rajasthan, the information said.
